I started with Perrigo in 2007 as an R&D Lab Assistant in Analytical Development. After gaining valuable experience in that role, I received an opportunity to learn formulation development as an R&D Formulation Technician. I was then promoted to Assistant Scientist in Formulation, where I learned theory and developed many different dosage forms.
As Assistant Scientist, I could see additional career opportunities that were only achievable with a bachelor’s degree, so I decided to return to school. Perrigo encouraged me to do so and was flexible with my schedule. Perrigo’s tuition reimbursement program was also a big factor that contributed to my decision to return to school. I completed my bachelor’s degree and I am currently working as a Formulation Scientist. The role is both scientific and creative, a combination that suits me well.
Last November, Perrigo was flexible in allowing me to take off four weeks to accomplish one of my life-long goals. I traveled to Nepal where I trekked through the Annapurna region of the Himalayan mountain range and crossed the world’s highest pass at 17,800 feet. I may not have been able to accomplish this goal if I were employed elsewhere.
Perrigo has invested in me and given me opportunities to reach my full potential, both personally and professionally. I am continually challenged and every day is different—definitely a positive for me.
